About adidas
The journey of one of the most successful sports brands in the world, adidas, began in Herzogenaurach, Germany, by the brothers Adolf and Rudolf Dassler after the former returned from World War I. On July 1, 1924, they founded the Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory based in their hometown, which, after a break in their relationship, was renamed adidas by combining Adolf Dassler's first and last name and began to provide sports shoes to Olympic track athletes. Adidas' popularity skyrocketed in the 70s, when it launched the first Stan Smith, a tennis-inspired model named after the world-famous tennis player. This success was soon followed by the top basketball shoe adidas Superstar worn by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and the new Trefoil logo introduced by Muhammad Ali. Today, the brand with the 3 stripes continues its successful path by designing adidas shoes, clothing and accessories from its new brands, adidas Originals, adidas Performance, adidas Terrex and adidas Sportswear with top collaborations with popular superstars such as Stella McCartney, Beyoncé as well as Bad Bunny, Pharrell Williams and Oasis, managing to remain the No. 1 sports & lifestyle goods production industry with styles that put the sports aesthetic in every aspect of everyday life for comfort and heritage.
